Fishing in Northern Wisconsin is a great place to fish with a different lake just around the corner. Capt. Matt guides on over 30 lakes in Oneida, Forest, and Vilas counties. Around the cities of Eagle River, St. Germain, and Minocqua. From a fun family outing to an intense trophy hunt. Fishing will be conducted out of a 17' Lund with the latest electronics and fishing equipment. Capt. Matt is an experienced guide, seminar speaker, and tournament fisherman. Matt can handle any persons fishing abilities and experience and still catch fish. One of the biggest aspects of a good fishing guide is to be able to adapt to everyones ability and consistently catch fish. All fishing equipment and bait will be provided. Capt. Matt will make every effort to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time on the water. The knowledge that you can learn in just a few hours fishing with Capt. Matt is a die hard musky angler and trophy walleye connoisseur. Matt has boated more Muskies and trophy walleye than anyone in Vilas county over the past two seasons! Those are big feats to accomplish one of those, but to take both is definitely a huge accomplishment. Thats right. I run a guarnteed muskie trip. No one else does in the area because its bad business if you can't produce. I am confident that I can help anyone of any fishing ability catch a muskie in one days time! This trip is designed for any angler who wants to catch a muskie. I have had everyone from an 8yr old to over 70 catch a muskie. We will target waters teaming with muskies. The trip will be eight or more hours on the water chasing the mighty muskie. Muskies are considered an elusive fish but I find them to be very predictable in habits since they are a top predator. I am the only guide in northern Wisconsin that offers a guaranteed trip. This is because no one can put people on muskies like Capt. Matt Can. Matt will focus on waters with a high muskie density with fish reaching up to the 45" mark with a few bigger fish present but the average lenght on these fish range from 36-40 inches. If for some reason a muskie is not boated a free half day trip of your choice is offered on any available open dates.
The muskie persuit trip is offered in 1/2 and full day trips. These trips will be dedicated to learning more techiniques and stratagies for catching more muskies. On this trip you can either try fishing action waters or chase a muskie of a life time. This is the most requested fishing trip that Capt. Matt offers. On a full day trip fishing multiple lakes is a regular occurance since Capt. Matt wants to put you infront of as many muskies as he can.
I have trips designed for numbers or for trophy potential for largemouth and smallmouth bass, and eater walleyes. These trips are great for all ages and angling abilities. These are usually high action trips with many fish caught. For walleyes these trips are designed for those who want fish for the frying pan. Different presentations such as live and artifical lures will be used. One of the most under pressured fish in northern Wisconsin are the great opportunities for both largemouth and smallmouth bass.
If you want to learn the art of row trolling or catch a fish of a lifetime this is the trip for you. These trips are designed to catch trophy walleyes and muskies. Row trolling over the past few years has netted me my personal best muskie and walleye. Good days on the water will also consist of multiple fish days. This is where I get a lot of my trophy fish since these fish can be very hard to catch on casting gear since they are suspended over deep water chasing suspended bait fish. These trips usually take place during the early morning or evening hours and can be booked in half or full days. Being a half day trip being either a morning or evening, or a full day; morning and eveing outing. Trips can be taken to target trophy walleyes (27-30"+) or muskies. Some of the largest muskies documented in Vilas county over the past few years have been taken while row trolling.

During the fall and spring combo a fishing trip with a hunting package! Get the best of both worlds of an a.m waterfowl or turkey hunt and an afternoon fishing trip. Hideaway Hollow Outfitters offers waterfowl hunts on the Mississippi River, Green Bay, and Northern WI. Turkey hunts take place in Zones one and three, where fishing will be conducted on the Mississippi river or Wisconsin river targeting walleyes.
